Auction House Program ~ "What's It Worth?"

Bring your unique treasure to the Estate and have it examined,
historically assessed, and evaluated by Kerry Shrives of the Skinner Auction House
in Boston. Kerry will bring her charm and very special expertise to Marshfield.
Fifty items will be appraised so be sure to make your reservations right away!

note that jewelry, coins, stamps and musical instruments will not be appraised.

Estate Docent Tours ~
Guided house tours of this lovely mansion
with trained docents giving the history of Daniel Webster, his family and the
Webster Estate. Enjoy an afternoon in our comfortable, Air-conditioned home!
Sunday Tours ~ On the first Sunday of the month ~ May 2 through November
7 (Closed on July 4)
Thursday Tours ~ On each Thursday of the month
~ July 1 through September 30

Historic
New England Lecture Series ~
Wednesday,
September 8th welcomes Stewardship Manager, Dan Aulenti and his lecture,
"Four Centuries of Architecture Styles Protected by Historic New England".
Dan will highlight the beautiful architecture found at the extensive properties
owned by Historic New England with a Q & A session
to follow.
Wednesday, October 6th will find Curator, Nancy Carlisle speaking
on "Victorian Furniture: Design Run Amok or Inspired Creativity",
This delightful lecture will offer a slide presentation showing many examples
of furniture, glorious to gaudy, from the many fabulous estates owned by Historic
New England.
Lectures from 2 PM to 4 PM ~
